Working with the team at pillarPERFORMANCE is the best thing that we have done for our health and fitness! I, Michele, began training with Colleen several years ago. I am not one of those individuals that "loves" to work out. In fact, I have never stuck to any type of training routine before in my life! pillarPERFORMANCE has helped Irene and I to cope with physical problems through specific training and exercises to resolve problems that have caused difficulties for both of us. First, Colleen has worked with Irene, my wife and avid sports lover, over the past two to three years to get her back in shape. Before, she was limited to how often she could play tennis and golf due to the problems caused by playing these sports she loves. Her back is now strong despite disc problems and she can play tennis and golf several times a week which she would not be able to do without Colleen's continued work with her. Second, more recently in the last few months, I myself have come to see the value of individual training and exercises to resolve a whole series of physical problems which were annoying and getting my my way of movement such as walking properly, flexibility, wrist, shouler, etc. I am now a 77 year old believer, having worked with Jeremy whereas previous trainers did not address my particular needs. Colleen has been my personal trainer for almost three years. I began training with Colleen after I had my son. My goal was to lose the 25 pounds that I gained during pregnancy and at the same time tone and build muscle. Colleen was instrumental in getting me on a fast track and I wanted a trainer that would push me and make it challenging and fun. In just four weeks I began to see results! What I enjoy about training with Colleen at pillarPERFORMANCE is that she brings forth variety and always keeps it fresh and interesting. With all her years and experience in professional dance, personal training, and Pilates, she genuinely offers her expertise and pays close attention to form and how the body moves and responds accordingly making adjustments that are necessary for a successful training session. I never received such knowledgable and constructive feedback from any trainer I worked with, which I believe is critical to your workout. Thanks to my newly found love, Pilates and personal training, I have rediscovered what my body can actually do. Due to many years of back pain, my movement had been limited. Knowing I needed to find a new workout that would help manage my pain and physical condition, Pilates cross-training was the answer! I am a client who needs to be "handled with care". With several attempts to deal with my pain, most doctors and trainers ran from me and were too scared to work with me. Finally, I found a facility and met the trainers who had the knowledge and eargerness to help me heal my body. Incorporating both pilates and personal training was not only essential during my pregnancy, but in addition and more importantly, from suffering with my newly discovered disease, Ankylosing Spondylitis, a rare form of arthritis. I met a unique team of trainers who have become my saviors. Colleen and her team at pillarPERFORMANCE give me the proper training I need to maintain emotional and physical stability. Thankfully, the trainers here have the knowledge to know what is best for my body and mind. Much to my surprise, they took it upon themselves to research my disease and design a new exercise program that will help me fight this challenge.
